Our History

Merciville is a Parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God and was vision inspired, in alignment with the Vision and Mission statement of RCCG. The Pastor in Charge of Lagos Province 44, Pastor Amos Emovon mandated the RCCG Mercyland Area to plant a Mega Parish in Lekki in tandem with the overarching priority of the then newly created Lagos Province 44 – “From Small to Mega”. The Mercyland Area led by Pastor Ajibola Opeoluwa-Calebs (APICP CSR, LP 44) swung into action and by 8th of July 2018, the first service was held. On 28th of July, 2019 the Parish was officially inaugurated.

The pioneer workers led by A/P Olumide and Deaconess Titilope Olayinka-Davids include Deaconess Stella Nwocha, Bro Wemimo and Sis Folashade Ibidokun, Bro Gbenga and Sis Omolola Ojo, Bro Babatunde and Sis Omotola Awosanya, Sis Aderonke Anifowoshe, Bro Patrick Effiom, Bro Kayode Samson, Sis Oluwakemi Kolawole, and Bro Ikechukwu Emmanuel.

Our Pastor

A/P Olumide Olayinka-Davids, fondly called Pastor O, was ordained a minister in RCCG in 2008. Pastor Olumide carries a heavenly mandate to go set the captives free by the preaching of the word of faith. He is passionate about seeing God ending all oppressions of the devil. He is a visionary, dynamic and compassionate leader. He is a strong believer in the pursuit of excellence and in seeing both the old and the young fulfilling their God-given assignment.

In the secular arena, he manages an advertising company with his wife in the heart of Lagos. He resides with his family in Lagos, Nigeria.
